Our Las Vegas Trip………………

Our trip started out with Joe, Lorraine, Peter, and Karen sitting comfortable, all lounged out in first class, eating filet mignon, while sipping champagne…while Diane, Alex and I were crunched in our coach seats, eating Doritos. The flight was uneventful and extremely long. When we arrived at the airport Alex began complaining every minute about carrying our luggage, while Peter wheeled his luggage, a porter carried Joe's (naturally). (we ordered wheeled Luggage already for our next venture)

We arrived on the Las Vegas Strip by limo, and Diane harassed Brian (the limo driver) the whole ride. For the next four days she asked every limo driver she saw if they knew Brian? We all checked into the Paris hotel. Joe and Lorraine checked into their 3-room suite, and we were sent to the servant's quarters. We stopped by Joe and Lorraine's, and were amazed at the size of the rooms, and elegant style of the suite. We then went to our room, and found a small twin bed, which we had to share. (Just kidding, the room was gorgeous).

We all proceeded to the casino, and Joe of course won. Every time he touched us, or the machine we were playing on, we miraculously won! We all turned in for the night, around 5:00am, only to get up again at 7:30am.

Our day began with breakfast in the Paris Casino, followed by a great night out, including the Danny Gans show (which was excellent and I would highly recommend if you see if you have the chance). The next morning, we all had breakfast on the 31st floor, where I dropped a bottle of water. I then dropped a drink at the pool that same day.

It was 80 degrees all week. Diane, Karen, Lorraine, and I spent most of the morning swimming, and drinking at the pool. We dined out the next night at Olive's where we had a lovely view of the Bellagio waterfalls. The rich food and drinks proved too much for me. I got sick and the maid comforted me and rubbed my back. Alex got out of there as quick as he could.

While walking around the Bellagio mall, Lorraine spotted a gorgeous pair of earrings that Joe almost purchased for her at $75,000. Now that's LOVE!!!

On our last day, we went hotel hopping. Alex and Peter collected coins and chips from every hotel we visited. They have quite a collection going now. (These 2 were separated at birth…I don't care what anyone says)…We headed for the airport, only to find our flight was delayed. Alex began playing the slot machines to obtain the silver strike coins he was collecting. $150.00 later, he got the coins he wanted…and the one's I wanted as well as extras for everyone in our group.

We boarded the plane, only to pass Joe, Lorraine, Peter, and Karen, lounged out again in first class. We walked sheepishly past them, with our heads down, and sat down again in coach. Our main course was Doritos…we believe they were served steak and ice cream sundaes in first class.

All in all, we had the best time because we were with friends and family that we love. We hope to return to Vegas with the gang again in November.

It is a vacation we will not soon forget!!! -Diane Marcano
